Yes, 1987. The owner said that the car was stored on his property for several months before scrapping it so he could take any good parts from it. That is why there is surface corrosion on the panels where the paint is gone.

Another Australian 404C - the eighth - was "discovered" today! Thanks to the owner for the data:

4598680, Carrosserie 10836, Cabriolet Injection, 17 mai 1966, Black and Ivory, Black Leather 2000, Car was from France, imported to USA circa 1987, went to Australia in 1990. Being restored in 2017 and will be converted to RHD, Nardi shifter, AUSTRALIA



This photo may have been taken in Queensland and it's hard to miss the red 404 Cabriolet behind the car in the foreground. Apparently this fellow still has the red car but I don't think it has been registered....the Robergel spoked wheels on the black car were retained by the owner of the red one. So that may help.
